Im planning on putting an ls1 in my 89 rs. im looking for one right now. but my question is there anything really difficultor any tips that i should know about. if so let me know. thanks

no. i bought the car from a guy that did a 350 swap. but i found out that the 350 thats in it is trash so i sold it and im gonna put an ls1 in it.

 

Have fun with that... You will need the ecm, wiring, (most likely interior and exterior), possibly mounts, upgraded cooling system, transmission, and tons of other things, you make it sound like it will be easy... Not even sure if it has ever been done...

 

been done a ton of times. its nothing new at all. On paper it is easy. If you have deep enough pockets. do it!! i wish i could.

 

yeah pain in the ***, and very expensive....But if I re-enlist again I'm thinking about getting the LS7 w/ a T-56 6speed, becool drop in radiator and fan, dana 60 w 4:10 gears....Oh wouldn't it be nice...oh yeah 350rs check your friend requests on xbox live, I sent you one last night.

 

yea ive seen plenty of people to do it on the internet. but was wondering if anyone on here has. but im looking at one now with auto tranny and 87k miles for $3000 which isnt bad at all for everything. (belts, ECM, A/C, Tranny,etc)so i figured i wouldnt have to upgrade much.i know its goin to be a pain. i was goin to get a new rear end too.
