Default Low Compression

Just bought a 3rd gen 91 v6 with low compression, it's been my dream car ever since my great aunt let me ride in her convertible one back in the early 90's. I'm only 19 and don't have a lot of experience with fixing cars, but I was wondering what the easiest way to fix this would be, having it rebuilt, rebuilding it, or replacing it all together. Any input is appreciated, thanks guys.

What is wrong with the car? It doesn't run? It runs bad??
Dropping in a V8 is a piece of cake if you know what you are doing.
