Dude, concentrate on the engine mods and performance upgrades. This is a big heavy car. You can only shed maybe 100-150 lbs and thats by gettin stupid and pullin seats and such. ( A/C, smog, exhaust, intake.) -Unless you go to Aluminum heads which is BIG money but shaves another 50-70 lbs. American motors rely on Torque, which offsets weight. Jap motors rely on horsepower, thats where lower weight is critical.

and i highly suggest leaving the heater hooked up and working, because what happens if you get a cool night at the the track and your windows fog up in the middle of a race?, plus the weight savings from the entire heating system (including control panel and wires) is like 50lbs, maybe. so as a rule of thumb, each 100 lbs lost = 0.10 second improved eta, you shaved 0.05 seconds off your eta. leave the heater in there

just remember this, if your making 300 hp, removing 10 lbs from the car adds about 1hp. Its much easier to add 10hp than to remove 100 lbs. But the only improvement i could see, def fiberglass front end, aluminum wheels, skinnies in the front, aluminum heads and intake manifold. But the car is already 3200 lbs, how much lighter do you want it?
