Default Looking for some help and ideas...

OK so im new tho this whole thing... But any how im looking for ideas and possible problems i may run into. Im building a 92 350 block for my 83 z28. im going to put an NX276HR comp roller cam in it with 400 heads. the heads have been worked and fully ported all the way to the valves. the openings are like 202 for intake and 195 for exhaust i wanna say. i want to eventually add a supercharger to it. trying to get ideas as to how much horse power i can build to where my t5 tranny in the car can handle it and some options, i.e. stroker or what not. i dont want to put a hole in the hood tho. if anyone has any ideas that could help me make up my mind i would love to hear them.

back then, when fresh from the factory and brand spankin new, that T5 was designed to handle about 265 ft lbs of torque.

So, given that knowledge, you can answer your own question with respect to anticipated longevity of that tranny

For that set up, get a Tremec TKO. Either the model 500 or 600, the number relates to their torque rating.
The 500 does have a bit of a lower first gear than the 600 does though, as well as 2 & 3 being a little lower.
Also, the 500 has a .68 overdrive (5th gear), the 600 has a .82 and .64 available.

Ok with that being said would changing the input and output shafts help that matter out or would I be crazy to think that...

A stronger input and output shaft won't get you far once the guts of your T5 are splattered all over the street.
