Default Just got a 1982 Berlinetta, need help

I just bought a beat up 1982 berlinetta with a broken gauges, broken stereo, leaking oil, extremely messed up interior, and not very quick. I want to bring it back to life and was wondering where to start. Any tips?

You need to be more specific on what you want to accomplish. If you got it cheap and are willing to invest what you would have to buy a nice car, then you will end up with a nice car.

Better have got it cheap! haha. But Yes it is up to you. I'd do Body and chassis work first, then Motor, then interior fabrication. My general advice.

Again, it all depends on what is wanted. But if an engine swap is in the future, I would do it before paint. It is too easy to mess up paint installing a motor....

from the sounds of it, i say swap in a junkyard motor, strip the interior, and lighten it as much as possible. if you want a nice car, sell it and buy one thats in better shape

if i were you, i would start with the engine. pull it out, and give it a fresh rebuild, from top to bottom. replace everything. this may get expensive, but by the time you are done you will have a fresh engine that will last a long time. while the engine is out, do all your body work and paint you engine compartment and the body. this will also be a good time to fix any other mechanical or electircal issues you have with the car.
