now i was think its going to take lots of money and time to do my 350 n it wont be done for awhile so i put it aside maybe ill sell it but i was lookin into putting a 4.3l v6 in it... the vortec version.... i was wondering will the ones from the monties and s-10 n blazers work i no they make stroker kits and lots of performance mods for them so do u think it will drop right in n i guessin that i would use a v8 350 tranny in it or a stock v6 form the 2.8l but have it rebuilt?????? i wanna no how much trbole this would be i have a sudden urg to do this!!!!!!!!

 

nope, the 4.3L has the same bolt pattern on the trans as the V8. the 2.8L has a different bellhousing pattern. the 4.3 is a 90 degree V6 and the 2.8L is a 60 degree. be the same amount of work to put in a 4.3 as it would be to put in the V8. the engine mounts are different, the exhaust manifolds are different , everything that is different for the V8 is different for the 4.3.
