well i found out why i beat that ls1

called the company that rebuilt my motor after i DESTROYED an lt1 that belonged to another friend

and it is modified

cams and heads and forged internals

they told me it should be pushing close to 370 hp from the motor
and said it should take a larger shot of nos then normal
they said i could run a 150 and theyed still waranty it

 

btw i thought i bought it stock

im confused, you took your engine in to get rebuild and the shop just decided to do a top end swap and didnt tell you? that would be a significant prive difference as well.

 

did they give u a build sheet?

 

I think he bought it used, and the previous owner had it rebuilt. When he bought it, he had no clue it was rebuilt and thought it was stock.
