Default Just bought my childhood dream a camaro!!!

I found a 1992 camaro rs with a 350 tbi swap yes tbi for 700 bucks. Supposedly it is supposed to run once I get everything plugged in it was running before again supposedly. My question is that the block I was told came out of an 89 so I think it has emission heads not the same bolt pattern or something as the carb ones what would I have to do to convert it to carb and I know about the fuel pressure regulator. Any info greatly appreciated thanks.

is there a reason that you want to delete the TBI?

I like the look of the carb engines and fuel enjection is expensive to upgrade, these are things that i have heard so no real reason if you can tell me why not then that would be some info that i would have in my holster. Also emission heads don't flow as well so I will never get good horse power looking for 4- 500.

you are correct about the flow of certain heads. Also, TBI is not the best FI and tough to find anyone to tune a chip for it. However, you have a vehicle that runs for $700.

With respect to going for 400-500 HP as your goal, here is where I will sound like a broken record and will back away from the discussion.

I suggest that you use the search feature, and then contact each of those posters that "want or need 400HP or 500HP" and see how those plans worked out for them..................

you can swap the intake for any 87 and up centerbolt intake, and use a carb of your choice. you may net about a 20 hp increase, if tuned correctly. however, achieving that much power, reliably, is going to set you back about $8,000
