Got the driveshaft and torsion bar in, and, but the torque converter isnt unlocking. Still did a couple of wicked burnouts though
So your getting no slippage? You put it in gear with a foot on the brake and it just wants to go? Using the 700R4? Maybe the TCC is not operating propery because of no computer being hooked up.

Yeah. The thing is, there is a plug on the tranny for the lockup. I dont remember EVER seeing, or unpluging a plug for it. The car was running with a carb and no computer before, and the trans was working fine, I might just end up getting a lockup kit from jegs or something.

Odd how it works until a simple engine swap was done. Did you try to unplug the wires from the tranny and see if its still locked up?

see, you bought a car with a locked transmission. you gotta go back to the guy you bought it from and get his key for it. he probably forgot to give it to you. then you put the key in and turn it 180 and its unlocked. good as new.

let me know how you come out man. i know a few lock smiths, im sure i can get a new key made for ya somehow.
