y pipe to the cat, and any other connections, some people preffer to weld them together instead of bolt. I would have if i was good enough at it

hell with that i learned my lesson i will never put any weld on ym exhaust again one pice ****s up ur hole ****s stuck together. im good with bolts and clamps

thats what i think to man. to an extent. less chance of leaks, blah blah blah. but it is much easier to just clamp those things together than weld, plus, less chance of setting your baby ablaze!

They will say "may require welding" usualy because of the cat. But if one pipe will slip over the other just put a slice in it and clamp it. Where the Edelbrock left pipe fits into the right half of the y pipe they fit so snug they give you a clamp for that part.
