Hi guys

I'm new to this forum and I'm wanting to know more info about the 86's. I'm talking to my friend about buying his, it's got the 305 in it and it's a 5 speed. What are common problems with them and what are some upgrades I can do to it?

common problems are if its a t-top car, they leak. especially bad if its been abused. theres other issues of the tach reading double, hatch pull down motor failing, and a few other things. no real major concerns chassis/suspension wise unless its been neglected, which is something you need to check out. if theres no recent grease on the steering and suspension parts, have it checked out for play. for performance, its a 305. its upgradeable, but wont be quite the same as a 350. if its carb, they respond well to a carb upgrade, intake manifold upgrade, and a full exhaust
