Hey guys and gals i have a 1987 chevy camaro with true glass t tops with the 2.8 v6. I need help in identifying what the part i need is called. My temp gauge stopped working after doing some work to the engine. And now it wont register the temp to the cluster. I know the harness is working but the sensor itself i believe is bad but i personally dont know. I could be wrong but it is my understanding that my vehicle has 2 sensors One for the computer and one for me. I dont have a code popping up so im guessing that one works. and when on the phone with autozone, and advanced auto they showed me a temp sensor that has a pigtail clip and looks entirely different than the clip on sensor i think need replaced. Is the sensor i need not called the temperature sensor and has some weird name. Or am i an wrong and i have to put a new style clip and sensor and splice the new clip into the harness.
