in the 85 camaro im going to switch the 305 the owner has in it now and put in a LS2 engine from the new corvettes.
will this work or is it complete suicide?if it works how?

 

It will work. I think the most importatnt thing you will need is engine mounts. If you do a search you will find web sites on how to and kits for the swap. I looked into it a while back because my brother has a LS6 he wanted to put in my car. Another thing to lok at is you either have to notch the cross member for a/c compressor, get the aftermarket bracket to mount it up high or spohn makes a crossmember for that swap.

This isnt something you do for the hell of it though, there will be plenty of fab work, wiring, trouble shooting, and most of all, money. Dont expect to only spend a couple of grand. It will be sweet if you pull it off, but just make sure you think about it long and hard.
