I got them from Ebay. They were advertised as NOS. As long as they are GM I dont care. I think the repos are all little pieces and the GM ones are joined with clear material. All it says on the backing paper is 3M.

The reason I expanded on the whole NOS terminology is because some people who sell parts don't know what "NOS" parts really means. I've seen vendors selling new repro parts and calling them "NOS".
They mistakenly seem to think that new parts "like the original" means the same thing.

If they sell new repos as nos then that's not right. I think that if GM made it at some point and they don't make it anymore then its NOS!. It Doesnt matter if it came off the production line or a GM parts warehouse its still GM and built to their specs. Repos are off shore or some guy with a computer and a decal maker. Don't get me wrong sometimes its very hard to even tell the difference on some Repo stuff but you have to be careful.

Now each letter is separate yes but the letter itself does it have clear decal in between the gold?

You might want to go here: http://www.thirdgen.org/
I'm sure there's gotta be more than one member who has an unmolested original IROC who can tell you what it's supposed to be like. I can't think of anybody here who has an original IROC.
