Horn and Rear Hatch Problems
i had the same problem with the rear hatch when i got my 92 rs... i ended up completely removing the whole latching assembly and just leaving it without one. it never comes up when i'm driving, it doesnt make it leak, however the downside is when you go over a speed bump it will jump a little bit and there is always the possibility of people opening it and stealing whatever you may have in there. but it works fine for me because i live in a tiny town and no one ever steals anything around here anyways. haha. as for the horn, i believe its on the drivers side right below the air intake hose on the wheel cover, might wanna start by just checking the wires because mine became disconnected without me even touching them.
btw i forgot to add that if you do remove the hatch latch there is a ground wire that connects to it for the tail lights, don't forget to reconnect it after the latch is removed. and on second thought if you want to keep the latch it comes off with about 3 bolts and you could probably find a replacement at the junkyard for cheap.

the latch is fused so check the fuseblock under the dash its the very first fuse. and for the horn check the horn itself and make sure its plugged up. the horn is on the driverside inside the quarter. if it is check the steering wheel.
It is NOT rocket science to repair the rear hatch pull down. Take it apart and see what needs replacing (only so many parts). Most common:
1) broken motor housing (slamming hatch down)
2) burned out motor
3) stripped plastic gear
4) broken plastic guides
Once you determine what parts are needed you can order them from TopDown Soultions. They also have a very good download of the repair instructions for the hatch pull down assembly'
Or just leave it and tie it down, a good redneck fix.....
