Help please
what canI expect to get out of a 1992 camaro. the guy said its in good condition needs hardly any work. just drove from oklahoma to montana with no problems. it has 135k miles. How much more could i get out of it? does anyone know how many miles those cars usually got before the engine died or started making problems? I am just assuming its been in good care. so how much more could i get out of it???
need to know what motor trans, and it mostly depends on how you drive and maintane your car, but if your car has a stock motor and trans with 135k i would say take at easy on it cause it could go at any time and the motor is probily worn out espically if it is a 305 i would say save some money and get a rebuild kit from summit racing.com and freshen up the motor.but if you take care of the motor and do the normal tune up stuff you could be ok for a while.
its a 92 rs camaro 3.8 v6.... the guy says its been taken care of very well.. how many 1000 miles do you think it has before i need to do something about the engine??.. the i dont have any more info right now.
it wont let me put a big comment so i will try to summerize it,not sure if 3.8 was put in camaros in 92.but i have heard 200k+ from that motor, just do all tune up stuff.tryengineRestore, seafoam injector cleaner, sythntic oils,
new plugs, plug wires, coil, fuel filter.and all the other tune up stuff,i'm sure some of the other guys will chime in and give you moreinfo on the motor in your car.

idk my 89 rs has 160000 miles on its original tranny and 305 and runs beautifully. the only major parts that i needed to replace was the distibuter and egr so i would expect some high mileage with some tlc, about $200, and basic car knowledge for those simple repairs
