While were alll here The Iroc 86 I just bought dosent latch or pull down. The motor runs but nothing happens. Seems as though the motor is stuck in the down position. Anyone???

 

If it is stuck in the down position it will be damn near imposible to latch it. Since yours you can hear the motor run it may be the gear but is very easy to take apart and check it out.

 

Once again Mike, your post about the rear hatch! was not only correct! but humorous as all get out, i myself have only hadone 3rd gen camaro, but have had that rear latch and motor assembly apart so many times, i could,ve done it blindfolded. I hope most of our forum member's! do there homework, and research? what there talking about! before trying to outpost MadMike. Game, set, and match. lmao again. I have a 86 camaro too and I had the same problem that the motor wouldnt move.I went to the junkyard and got the plastic parts that hold them motor in place and now it works fine. Try it out
