My first V8 was a Dodge 318, many years ago..lots of pep and power..I hadnt driven a V8 in years until I bought my 82 with the stock 305. The first time I romped on it.....I almost thought I had a bad engine....the 305 is a grocery getter.....nothing you can do to it (short of a cam, heads, exhaust and a carb) will make it faster. (and those mods will cost you more than just buying a good used 350...and it still wont perform as well as a 350....)
