Default HELP!!

I want to build a 305 up for a twin turbo set up. the problem is that i dont thinkchevy make a 305 with a 4 bolt main. I have heard of a kit that you can buy to make a 2 bolt into a 4 bolt main. i think the kits use the existing main cap, but you have to drill and tap a place for the other 2 bolts. and they would be angled in.

Does anyone have any input on this kit? this is going to be an expensive project and i dont want to blow the engine because this kit is junk.

If the kit is junk i will just get a 4 bolt 350.

what do you guys think?

The proper way is to purchasenewsplayed 4 bolt billet main caps. Take the new caps and engine block to a machine shop where they will drill and tap the block for the additional bolts, mount the caps, and align bore the assembly.

Well, there you go, get a boat engine. Boat engines are usually built stronger than car engines, but I wasn't aware that they built a 305 for boats.

There were a lot of 305 boats built in the 80's.
