Default Heat only flows through the defroster

Ok, I'm sure there is a vacuum line disconnected somewhere (or at least that's my thought) but I thought I'd check in with the experts here first before I start taking things apart.
Anyone here deal with this type of issue. The heat flows well but only in defrost mode.
Where should I start?
Any tricks or procedures that will make my job a bit easier?
Oh, '82 with the dual carb V-8
I plan on tearing into in tomorrow
Thanks in advance.

Grab a Haynes or Chiltons manual and start looking at all the vacuum lines. Dual carb? Is this a new or custom motor. If so there may some missing lines.

I'm assuming he means CFI (crossfire injection), in which cases uses two throttle bodies, not carburetors.

Anyways, I've got the same problem with mine and I can't seem to locate the vacuum line...

Yes, I'm talking about the crossfire injection. I've been looking for vacuum diagrams online with no luck so far.
Probably once I take the climate control unit off I should be able to find the problem. I was just hoping that the knowledge base here could point me in the right direction before I get going on this. It would be nice to save some time and not reinvent the wheel.
I'm still new here and have tried searching through old posts but haven't found my answer yet.
I'll be checking back here periodically through the day in case someone comes on to help.

check for vacuum at the hvac selector, thats about the easiest thing to do. if theres no vacuum, find the line and reconnect it. if there is, check operation of the switch, they do go bad. if thats functioning correctly, then the vacuum motors are leaking or otherwise inoperative, which is a rather small chane that they are all bad, but its possible. defrost is the default position if there is no vacuum
