Im in need of some help. I have a 92 rs camaro i put a 350 motor in it , i just put a new dist. and a new manual pump on the block. Some told me i would not have to disconect the pump in the tank, is this true will it pull it through the pump in the tank. I took it out the other day and it falls flat on its face when you take off, but runs good when in park you can punch it in park and it has all the power i need but when in gear has nothing, can anyone help me out there. thanks for your help.

 

yes you need to take the old pump out and find a external pump pick up for your tank. i take it you switched to a carb.

 

yeah you have to take the old pump out of the tank. when i got my car the person had done the swap but never drove it cause it wasn't getting gas and they never new you had to remove the old pump.
