Default Good Replacement Rear Ends??

I am wanting to put rear disk brakes into my 87 maro and I am wondering what would be the best to swap it with (as in what kind of car)? What have you guys used on yours and what are the pros and cons?

I haven't changed mine in my 85 Z yet but I would suggest looking for a wrecked IROC or firebird GTA

Try to find a 1989 BW 9-bolt with the 11.88 rotors and aluminum PBR calipers.

NO IT IS NOT A BMW REAR......[sm=boosign.gif]

A Borg Warner (BW)9-Bolt is a rear used on 3rd Gen Cars from 1984-1989. It is a stronger rear then the 10-bolts. Its term used to describe the the rear axles.

the word on the street is that you could just bold up a 4th gen without ABS or TCS and itll work but will just be an inch wider on each side. Prollywould take a bit of work.just to widen your search.

4th Gen rear axles are 4" wider (2" per side) then 3rd Gen rears. Also your wheels will not fit.
