gauge problems
i have an 89 with a 2.8L and eventualy will be swapping a 350 into it.
2 of my gauges are not working, the fuel level and the rpms,
> the rpms im not worried about because i can hook up a tachometer in its place. and its an automatic so right now i dont realy need to worry to much. and im used to driving manuals so i can tell when i need to shift if i use the lower gears..
but ill tell you what its doing,, it says it idles at about 3500 and as soon as u barley touch the gas it shoots all the way up?
> the fuel level sensor is whats got me. since i plan on swapping a 350 in and since i wont need the computer anymore is there a way i can just hook up a new guage to the sending unit so that when i have a mechanical pump it will still work?
and i believe if i did my research right i need a gauge that works with about 40ohms on empty and 240 on full.
