Default fusible link

OK the big block is in and running. the only issue we have is the headlights does anybody know where the fusible link is located. I checked the fusible links up by the radiator on the passenger side all were OK. also checked the switch there is no power there and the switched tested good any thoughts.

thanks Jim

well given your posting in the third gen that must be what you have and there is not much room in there for some of the stock parts. I did a 97 4.3 in my mom's 84 S10 and it had a mini starter as stock OEM from an Astro van that I got some parts off of. Thank goodness to. A standard one would not fit in there because of the control arm.

yup I put a 454 into a 91 rs it had a 3.1. I tested a purple wire comming from the starter and it had no power this might be the culprit. If it is i thinkI'll cut and splice it to the power terminal up front with a fusible link screw taking that starter backout.

I think purple is it. I remember now I did this very same repair for head lights not working on my brothers car.

BUT

I gotta see some pics of that Big Block in there.
