Default Full Exhaust

I am going to admit to you that I don't know much about exhaust, but do know I want my '91 Camaro RS to sound better and get better performance. I was thinking of getting headers/exhaust but wasn't sure how it works ie:best sounding combo, street legal, passable with emissions inspection. I am also wondering if I need to change anything with the headers/exhaust upgrade? I appreciate any help on finding the right exhaust system for my Camaro... Thanks.

Default RE: Full Exhaust

For a RS with a 305 TBI, 1 5/8 dia headers with AIR (emission fittings) and a Cat with 3" 1n & out and a full 3" mandrel bend pipes to a Muffler with dual 2 1/2 exhaust. This should give good sound and 20+ HP & TQ. I would also suggest a full stainless steel system for longer life. I use a complete stainless steel system from SLP and a Catco cat.
