Quick update. I cleaned the throttlebody and injectors and the problem remains. I went to go unscrew the fuel filter and fuel showered down on me in a steady stream. Which makes me wonder.. If it were clogged would fuel be coming out of that thing so fast and steady?

If gas was pouring out of the outlet side, then no it wouldn't be "clogged". I still don't think the filter is your issue, but might was well rule it out. While the fuel line is off the filter, put the end of it in a clear narrow neck container (pop bottle) and cycle the pump on and off with the key. Gas should shoot out of the line with some good force. Mine still dribbled out before the filter, which told me the problem was in the tank.

Eh boy! Yep, if you hear the pump run, and gas is dribbling out before the filter, you're going inside the tank.
Here's pics of mine, and what yours is gonna look like in order to drop the tank.

Not out, and not disconnected. After you disconnect the shocks, the rear axle will pivot down like that once you get the ars end of the car up. And you'll be able to pull the rear springs right out as well, which you have to do on the passenger side to clear the tank as you drop it down and at an angle.

Oh yeah, you have to remove both horizontal bars in back too or the axle won't lower much.

Default Fuel System Issues? *update*

Ok so since i had a new fuel filter already i figured might as well replace it and since i took apart the TB and took out the injectors finding bad gaskets i cleaned the tb/injectors and replaced all gaskets. Like i said when i went to take off the fuel filter i drained the gas. it didnt look to be dirty when it came out of the fuel line and once it was fully drained i plugged in the new fuel filter, cycled gas back through the system, heard the fuel pump cycle, and started her up. at first it was idling rough. sounded kinda like i was cammed. After a couple seconds of that it smoothed out, more so than before the problem started. once the idles smoothed out my SES light came on (first time its come on while the car has been running) while the idle was smooth it was at 2k rpms, which obviously is high. prior to the problem it hung out around 1000-1500 depending on the engine temp of course. it ran for a solid 3 mins then started to drop in rpm and died. upon a second go at it i was able to sustain rpms if i throttled up slightly but when i let off the gas it would die, which is also an improvement because despite putting any throttle down it would just sputter and die. SO 69, i guess since youre the only one who knows anything on the subject, based on what has happened today are we still concluding a bad tank? If so my Silverado will be here off the transport truck in a couple days which means ill start making way for my LS1 swap and just not worry about finding a new tank until i come to that step in the swap process. Also thanks for your help, your advice has really narrowed down my quest to find the source of my problems lol.
