Hi!

My son just bought an '87 from a friend of mine and it turns out that there is a LOT more wrong with it than we were told.

Got the car on the road Tuesday and Saturday it drove and then would not start. We've been told by friends of his (that have mechanics for family but no time to help out) that it is the relay to the fuel pump. Supposedly an easy fix but the kid that is to fix it doesn't know where the relay is located.

Can someone help with this? I have been trying to find old books on the car but no luck thus far.

I need his car fix so I can get my crappy Dodge fixed before it dies on him (yeah... get him his first car so he'll leave mine alone and it is sitting, so once again Mom is stuck without a car)

On the cowl. Drivers side. you will see a few cubes over the master cylinder. Its the one on the left i believe

Incase your relay setup does not look like the one pictured. (none of my Camaros ever looked like that "typical" setup) you can go to autozone.com and look up free wiring diagrams in the repair section. Find the relay andmatch the colors of the wires to it.

 

well, i said left cause thats how mine is, but mines so far from original... thats why im just getting rid of the whole damn setup! lol. start from scratch so i know what i have. lol


also, mine only has 2 of those sensors, where that pic you have has 3 black... I see it has a MAF relay, i suppose thats for tpi setup then?

would a TBI only have 2 then?
