i have an 89 camaro with the 350 tbi i am putting a 383 into it and was curious if anyone knows if the original is an in line or in tank fuel pump. im going to a carbuerated engine so it will be set up different anything anyone can tell me would be a great help. john

 

89 should be in tank.

 

The fuel injection pump is putting out way too much pressure for a caburator. You can try finding a different pressure regulator or replace the pump with one designed for carbs.

 

i have a 89 camaro with a carbed 383 i just have the original fuel pump with a holley fuel pressure reg.

 

i was plannin on puttin a new fuel pump and regulator in it, i was just curious if it was in tank or in line, im goin to try and make it an in line fuel pump was curious about it though. thanks.

 

also i was wondering 89/383stroker, how much was the fuel regulator and how hard was it to install? do you ever have any problems with fuel pressure or anything of that sort?

 

my regulator was install with the motor but i looked at it and it looks like a primary and a return line connected to the regulator and a single line to the carb, hope that helps
