There are only two right ways to do the third gen, drop the tank, or do the trap door, but then you have to cut the lines and flare them so that you can connect the high pressure lines back up the safe way.
i cant count the camaros that come to me with this "access hole" chopped in the body.it seems that alot of people will do anything except the right thing

Before you start clambering on "what's right", think about what;s "logical". Do you want to spend your time turning a socket and bloodying your knuckles to drop the tank or take 5 minutes to cut a hole straight to the fuel pump? (which can easily be welded and/or concealed). Think about it.

i'm about to replace the fuel pump in my '97 and i believe i'm going with the access hole vs. dropping the rear-end 'cause i have too many other projects going on to spend 5 hours on this when i can do it an hour or less, i'll take pictures as i go and post them later
