Default front suspension

Been a while for me to post here, I have an 85 Z28. My question is my transmission wont shift out of first gear, I have reverse and first only, the guy I bought the trans from said he had a rebuilt pump put in it, it is a 700r4 transmission. I know the trans, would shift before he had the pump replaced, I witnessed it, what could be the possible cause of this?

What the hell does any of this have to do with the "front suspension"?
If it shifted before and not after a pump replace I would suspect sometghing was done wrong. Or maybe the govenor valve and/or 1-2 shift valve is stuck

oops, I was thinking about bushing kits when I wrote that, anyhow I guess if I had a question about the front suspension it would be how criticalare the drain holes on the lower control arm, as in being covered by the spring?

The thing is you did not ask a decent question. Think for a minute. Do you think you have the only springs that cover up some holes in theA arm? Do you think it gives a water tight seal? Do you think dirt does not plug them up? Do you think?
Why don't you try not being a baby.

Wow Mike, bad day? boy you really slammed him! I know the suspension question was alittle lame when you break it down, but his tranny problem needs some attention, from our members! right Mike? I know you mention the govenor, thats possible, I know the 700 R4 has the non swapping converter, cause of the front splines for the lock/up, have you checked fluid level ? and if you installed the trans? did it only have 1st and reverse from the get go? did you force the bell housing bolts? possible your not fully engaged with those splines on the front pump! well i have no more tranny problem guesses, or should i say causes. Ok i now return the forum to Mad Mike! take it away Mike.[sm=feedback.gif]

Thats right. That question was lame and until your post I was the only one that tried to give some help with his tranny. So I am expected to put up with being called a jerk after my efforts. Well I got a knock-knock jole for him. It goes..
Madmike: Knock-knock
rollermotor: Who's there?
Madmike: Go Fu*k Yourself!
