Default filters

changin the oil this weekend. i use a full synthetic oil in my car, usually a 10 weight. I used a k&n filter last time, but for 15 bucks a pop, im not sure if i will this time. Anybody know anything about the Wix filters? They are reasonably priced.Ive heard that with a full synthetic, if i use a better filter, i will get better results from the oil over a standard filter... if thats even true.

Ask 10 people about oil filters and you will get 10 different answers. I use Purolator or Bosch filters. Less than $5 each, and are well built. Mobile 1 and k&n are good, but expensive.Amsoil probably makes one of the best filters, but are also expensive. However, Amsoil filters are good for extended oil change intervals. Stay away from Fram and Penzoil, they have the lowest filter media surface area. I haven't used wix, but they are comparable to Purolator. I would use them myself if I couldn't find Purolator of Bosch.

Coffee filter. I don't drink much coffee and have lots of the filters laying around. I want to convert to the canister filter where I can put a roll of TP in there.
