alright guys im getting ready to do the final body on my 87 sport coupe, right now she's sitting in 86 z28 bumpers and ground effects, but the front is rather beat so i need a new front end. she is a hardtop orignal v6 with a carbed up 350 torqer dropped in her, 3 dual tips on the back, 3 inch cowl hood with front hood pins, alumium z28 wheels. shes keeping the stock spoiler thou no matter what year, im not a huge fan of the high rise, i think they look cool but for my personal taste there just not me. as far as paint, shes going midnight blue, probably soild, but possiably with the gfx a different color, maybe silver or white, maybe black, not sure yet.

but since the car is not and will never be stock, ive decided that i dont need to keep the approiate year body i can do whatever i please, im leaning more towards the earlier 82-84z28 body, but wanted to see what the crowd favorite is and anybodys oppions.

also does anyone know if the side skirts(around the doors) are the same one the 82-84 as they were they 85-90?

 

Everything is different on the 82-84. They are smaller. The parts on the door and body fit bellow a body line on the door and body where the 85-92 fit over that body line.

 

alright thanx man, not a whole lot of 82-84's run around here so havent seen a whole lot of them.

 

Im biased but i like my 85 TA body.

 

I like the 89 FIrebird body, although they're way different than the camaros. The 85-90 z28/iroc is pretty nice. There's not a whole lot of difference between the years...

 

86 iroc (ok ok, not really an iroc, but has the hood of one) i would like the open grille and foglights, but everyone has them, so im sticking with the stock louvered one
