Default bolt on horsepower?

i want to add a little horsepower to my 305 tbi. (i'm not switching out an engine, just stuff that i can bolt on without taking the engine out)

these are the things i plan on getting, what do you think, and what are some other things that i can bolt on that make a difference. everything must be street legal.

edelbrock tbi intake http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku

115mph chip eliminator and 17hp http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TEMPM...mZ130119484623

torquer heads http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/WORLD...spagenameZWDVW

oh and forgot to add: the chip comes with a 170 degree thermostat

and i would also get a k&n air filter. anything i'm missing that would make a difference?

First of all bro that intake is a complete stock replacement. There is no difference and it wont give you any horsepower. Second of all that chip wont add 17hp probly lk 3hp but it will eliminate the 115mph govenor. And those are the only heads that will fit your car. There decent and they'll give you about 30-40 hp

it's funny you say that the intake won't do anything. what the hell does it say in part 2 on this site?

http://www.goingfaster.com/spo/325_h...chevrolet.html

your the one that pointed this out to me. it says 20 hp improvement. and yes it is stock replacement but it flows much better than stock.

also the guy guarantees that thechip will do what it says. if it doesn't he will buy it back and pay for the shipping. that sounds pretty convincing.it says an average of 17 hp, not 17 at most. just read his feedback.

if the chip gives me 17, the heads give me 35, the intake gives me 20, the flowmasters i have now give me 10, and the k&n gives me say 2-3, that's 84-85 hp over stock. seems pretty good for short money.

and don't go changing your story on me. this is what you were all pumped to get a few months ago. don't sayit's a $hit setup because your planning on getting a 350 now.

i was also looking at this throttle body with spacer. the throttle body gives you 15-20 hp and i'm guessing the spacer will give you 2-3.

all together if everything works as it says i would be getting 90-100hp for under $1100. if you include my exhaust which was on the car it would have 100-110 hp over stock.

yeah for the price you can't go wrong. i mean i could spend 3 grand on a 350 crate engine, but i'd only be getting 20-50 horsepower for an extra 2 thousand. i think my way is the best for the money.

Why u being such a ****head im just tellin u what i kno and if i told u to get that intake i told u wrong im sorry. If you look at that build-up it says they started out with a carb'd engine not a TBI, and they used a eldelbrock performer egr intake which is completely different than the tbi one. And even if you read the bottom paragraph of the tbi one on summit it says its a stock replacement. Also your one flowmaster muffler is probly not giving u any more than 2 hp. And that higher flowing tbi unit you saw, isnt a straight bolt up. Well it is but u'd have to rewire the whole wiring harness to fit a camaro there forbig trucks.

The info on that site is pretty good, but a little deceiving. Changing heads and cam is not a simple bolt on job. LOL

Have you thought about your exhaust at all? All of those intake mods and the chip will help a lot, but you can maximize your gains with an exhaust. Your puttin more air in it, youll want to be able to get it out faster. Just a thought.

That spacer, if you end up doing it let me know how it works for ya, clearance and power, ive been thinking about doing that myself but im just not sure. Some people say its a big difference, others dont even notice a difference. So, i guess its a "what kind of shape if the motor in" kind of mod.
