It's a 305 but I was planning on changing everything; engine, tranny, rearend, suspension cause it doesn't have enough power. Or atleast the power I would like to have. I have seen some 350 5 speeds at auto shows, but they put a high performance tranny in it. Which is what I'm planning on doing.

 

If you can, get yourself a T56 to put in it. It's a six speed, and they were made to handle at least 360 horses.

 

I had an 86 I-roc T-top that was an original 5 speed. the carb cars are easy to work on, but the carb has very little economy. I say find an I-roc they already have the ground effects and a nice set of wheeles. The only problem with this is it's hard to find one that hasn't been raged and beat up.

 

Was it 305 or 350?

If you can find one, they came in the 4th gen Camaros as stock for the manual trans. F-Body Motorsports can sell you everything you need to make the switch. I don't have a website or phone number handy, but if you do a google search for them, it should be easy to find.

 

Sorry Steel for getting off topic. If you're still interested in an F-body don't short change yourself. Go fo the v8 preferably an 88-89 iroc z28 with the 5.7 350. They look better and have much more power then a regular 305 5.0. Trust me I've had both.
