Look For A Crack In Your Exhaust Manifold. Fuel Problem Could Be Trash In Your Tank Or A Weak Fuel Pump. Sick

When your gauge shows 1/4 left, you could really be just about out of gas. GM fuel gauges are notoriosly inaccurate. Some "brain' in GM decided that the gauges be off so that people would think they were getting beter gas mileage than actual. Next time you are at the 1/4 mark fill up the tank and see how much gas it takes, you might be surprised.

So true. We laugh when the tank starts to get that low. Accelerating will cause the guage to go up, decelerating down. And yes 1/4 tank is just about empty.

Appparently you gauge is not working per GM specs, and you should replace it immediately. LOL
