Hi all,
I am looking for a project camaro here in las vegas. there is one that looks pretty straight but it has the 6 in it. i am really wanting the v8. how hard is it to swap out the 6 for the v8? cost? i dont have the place or tools to do it myself.
as always any help is appreciated. thanks!

The only way to do a V6-V8 swap relatively cheaply is to find a wrecked donor car and swap everything over. Do all the work yourself, replace anything that needs to be replaced while you're at it, and pray that the drivetrain in your donor car is in decent running condition, and MAYBE you'll come out spending only a couple thousand more than it would have cost to just buy a V8 car.
FYI, my engine swap was V8 to V8, and it cost 10 grand. And I blew my head gaskets at 5000 miles. I'll grant you I could have done it for half that much, had I known then what I know now, but if I were in your shoes I'd bet on making a bunch of expensive mistakes along the way, too.
