Engine Decisions

RE: Engine Decisions
you didn't say if your 305 is TBI or TPI...
TBI 305 = 170hp
TPI 305 = 215hp
TPI 350 = 230hp
so what sicksicksick said about only 15 horses difference is true if you have a TPI 305... I would stay with that if you do, but if it's a TBI LO3 motor, I would do the swap. I have the 170hp TBI and it kills me everytime I get beat by a pickup truck. I even got beat by a Buick Rendezvous! Damn, I really need to find something quick!

RE: Engine Decisions
By definition:
A motor, converts energy directly into motion, like an electric motor.
An engine, converts an energy source, such asa burning fuel into motion, like a car engine, steam engine, gas turbine, rocket, etc..
To most people the terms are interchangeable, but I think an "engine head" sounds much more impressive than "motor head". LOL
A Search Engine,is neither an engine or a motor, but ia a software program running in a computerfor the purpose ofsearching data files for specific information. The computer running the program is not a search engine.
