does the valve atop the valve cover have to be tubed to the carb. I have it blocked off on valve cover and carb. Will that decrease performace of engine.. or can i leave it blocked.. the engine runs good. the other valve cover has a breather like it is supposed to.. the one i am talking about is the 90 degree elbow on the driverside valve cover.??????

 

I can only assume you mean the PCV valve? A breather filter alone might vent your engine well enough, but if you can manage, Id hook it back up. Its there for a reason.......

 

That is there to suck up and burn the fumes out of the crankcase. That is to keep the engine from getting sludged up. Make sure the PCV valve is there and working properly, otherwise the car will run bad.
