Default Dual exhaust suggestions

Thinking about redoing my exhaust on my car and I am looking for suggestions.

I want to do a chambered exhaust to get a old school sound.

Here are my options

1) keep my Y from my headers and go to one single long chambered pipe. Then Y and go up and over my rear to have dual outs. or keep the single over rear and do a Y under the back of the car some how.

2) Do a custom dual set up and go under the floor on both sides of car with a chambered pipe and dump out in front of the tires

3) same as 2 but go under rear end. saw a picture online of a guy that went under. dont know if it is really that good of an idea. let me know

4) same as 2 but figure out how to go up and over the rear end to get duals out the back. will the added pipe from going in front of the wheels to the rear of the car make a difference in sound?

Any other suggestions. any pictures of what other people have done.

Edit*
by the way i finished my 350 and it is in my car so this is a natural next step in finishing my car. LOL

Better off with a good brand of 3' mandrel bend single exhaust. That dual system is too low and restictive, also it will not pass emissions.

exhaust is the least of my worries when it comes to passing emissions.

Yes. I seen some called Powerstick. Also I know how limited the space is under a 3rd gen car. So knock yourself out trying to configure one but duals???
They are know for excessive noise, so on a street car this is also questionable even if you don't care about emissions.

i like the idea of it having a y before the axle, but there is no room at all to fit a pipe over the driveshaft and torque arm. save yourself the hassle and by an off the shelf kit, or like me, buy a bender and welder and make your own

Don't let any of these guys discouraging you. True duals are possible, but you'll have to pay a good shop to do it.

Hey buffalo, since you are in phoenix (maricopa co.) you know true duels will not work properly or pass our emission tests. I know the OP doesn't have too, but thats not my point. I took my iroc to Cyril Leon's shop who is in Tucson's drag racing hall of fame. He drew it up and looked over everything more than once and just said, this car is better off with 3" all the way back. He said it would make more power, run cooler and not rattle around like a true dual Third gen's are not 1st gens and without hacking, they just don't work well. I don't think there is too much in the way of bad advice on this forum. I want people to enjoy their projects, and follow the rules, so the rules don't get so strict we can't enjoy our cars anymore.

I've had these pics archived on my computer for a while, pretty sure it's a 4th gen though.
If duals can be done there, it can be done on a 3rd gen.

And why not cut off before the axle like the second gens?
