Jack that some ***** way high up in the air.........Higher than that. Suport the body with some stands.Put a jack under the rear end and unbolt the shocks, pan hard rod and sway bar and lower it down. Leave the control arms on and no need to disconect the brake line. Then the muffler and that gives enough space to snake the tank out.

No cause the muffler is under the tank
Depending on what your exhaust is like you need to remove the muffler or drop the whole thing down after the rear end

I kept the muffler and pipe intact. I just disconnected the pipe at the cat and was able to wiggle the whole exhaust out from under the car once I got the rear end low enough. This way all I need to do is replace the clamps insteadof the whole exhaust.

Since its one piece that is the way to do it.

Oh fudge! No flange on the back side of the cat? Cut the pipe in an area where its perfectly round and get a piece of exhaust that will slip over it and clamp it back together. Or you can even get wide band clamps that will butt the two together but I never used them on butt joints
