Smile automatic cam

can i put a lt4 hot cam in my 1984 camaro without worrying about it shutting off when i put it in reverse? Im going to swap motors i have a v6 in it but im gonna to put a 350 in it.

If this helps the transmission is a 700 r4.

!!!!!
Are you concerned about having a wumpity-wumpity kind of idle? You can speed up your idle if necessary.

Just curious why the LT4 cam instead of an aftermarket flat tappet one?
Is the added expense of roller lifters and a cam position limiter setup going to be worth it?

because some people would rather spend the $500 for the "lt4" cam, maybe because they heard from someone less informed that its what is needed to do.
