Default A couple of newbie Questions

I have a new cat that has a pipe coming out of the side of it....
What' this for/connect to?

I've been told that I can remove the charcoal cannister that's situated to the right hand side of the engine bay. (This would be useful to create space for my CAI hose).
Is it just a case of finding where the hoses go to, unplugging them and blocking up the ends?

Thanks for your help.

BTW: I have a '92 Camaro RS (TBI).

The tube in your cat is for the air injection. If you dont have an air pump on the car any more just plug the hole.
The fuel tank vents through the canister so you will at least ned to place that hose in an area where it wont get water in it. There is also a solenoid on it and if you must remove the canister leave the solenoid plugged in so you may not get a check engine light.
