Default Could be joining you 3rd-gen owners!

Well, not on the Camaro face .. On the Trans Am side, but it's the same thing! I was offered the Trans Am on a trade for my current car. The Trans Am is a 1991, it has a 5spd, it's a 5.0L, with t-tops, etc, etc.

What are some common problems I should look for?

He said the underneath is great, and he "redid all the brakes, put new bearings in the steering wheel, new muffler, fixed the head liner, new flex hose on drivers side, got two brand new tires on front".

Any help would be great!! I'm sort of excited, but going from a 4cyl to the 8cyl might be a shocker, but I'm just gonna buy it for those "occasional" drives

i will be as well, il be coming back as i was a former camaro owner, but will be restoring a 90-92 Camaro RS. i havent made up my mind as to whether i want just a stock TPI or TBI 350 or just to go carbed. i originally wanted to build a 400 small block.

One bad thing with these gen's is the rusting and rotting by the wheels.

Manuel ones are pretty rare you should hop on it man.

i have a 89 350 5-speed RS. Problem is 1983camaro, i dont beleive that an RS ever came with a TPI stock. People add them later as i am planning on doing that myself. Im running TBI somehow. i didnt do the work to put that motor in, i bought it that way. But this car is solid as a rock at 200,000+ miles, i love it. Even at highspeeds no excessive vibration other than road work, Missouri has TERRIBLE highways...
