The continuing saga of my suspension rebuild
i dont know if it works here or not. ive always mounted and balanced myself. as well as aligned. so i complain to myself and get myself to re-align everything and buy new tires for me.
but i do lifetime work for myself! haha

I only let ONE shop around here touch my cars, its a local Firestone. They seem to be knowlegable, push the least amount of extra crap on me, but most importantly do not take advantage of some of the female customers I have sent to them.
I just hate paying so much for allignments. When I worked for a large auto chain (rhymes with Shlep Boys!) We would get caers that were jut a tad outside of spec. The technician would push a bit on the tire till the machine showed 'in spec' and then have the other guy hit 'print'...thats why I always ask to see the before and after sheets...

Now that is bad Scott. I have heard some good stories about pimp boys. But what kinda burns me a bit is when you go to the alignment shop and when you look at the before and after all that was ajusted was the toe by 1/8 or so and you had to pay the $40+/- bux for it. I know thats all it took and they did their job but do some more work for it!
