Default code scanner

I am thinking about buying a innovia OBD 3140 2-1 scannerdoes anyone know if all the connectors that come with scanner are what I need for my 92? Never used a OBD1 before. Is there a better one you all can reccomend? Thanks Old Timer

What I know about OBDI cables is that each car company used its own connector design. Most OBDI scanners came with a separate cable or adapter for GM, Ford, and Chrysler. Foreign makes, good luck.

are you using it only for this car? if so, just use a paper clip and do a blink test

A scanner does a lot moree than just giving code numbers, such as allowing you to look at the output of various sensors and see if the output makes sense, check EGR operation, look at spark timing, etc..

I have one- an Innova 3123 apparently. It's so easy, just plug it in, turn the key to ON, and let it do its thing.

That said, I only have it 'cause I got it for free.

Edit: Apparently it's $20 on Amazon.
