shame on electrical problems!!! lol and i ordered it im expecting it anyday now lol

Realizing and admitting that electrical problems can be sneakier and more sly than we are might help to keep the frustration levels down......maybe!!!

i have a question guys on ,y 87 z 28 the est line going from the ecm where does it run to?where does the est stop at or go into?

should be a tan single wire along the firewall, usually by the heater box, or under the passenger side carpet taped to the wiring harness on the firewall. have you inspected the distributor drive gear? have you set the base timing? set the base timing when cold, let engine got hot, then check it again. if it moved, its an indication of worn distributor parts and the heat is affecting the timing. just had the same issue with a 90 blazer but with no cel. ran poorly when cold- had new cap, rotor, plugs, wires, electronics. progressively got worse. pulled the distributor after seeing the timing would move 6* between cold and hot and found the gear 2/3 worn through
