Default Cheap Craftsman Impact guns!

I spent about an hour last night putting her on jack stands, making sure none of the suspension/steering components were being touched. (Read 'She feels loose' to bring you up to speed) I fired up my brand new compressor, hooked up the airgun and wrrrrrrrrrrr.......wrrrrrrrrrrr.....wrrrrrrrrr.... ....nothing. No movement whatsoever. So I cranked the regulator up to 140 psi and...wrrrrrrr....wrrrrrr......nothing. Lugs werent budging. I put these lugs on by hands less than 2k miles ago. Now she was already in the air so I had to wedge a 4x4 under the tires to hold it still so I could get a breaker bar on the lugs.

Friggen Craftsman budget tools. Every once in a while they really blow it. Dont get me wrong, Craftsman stuff is more than adequate for home use and even light duty professional work, but their pneumatic tools suck.

Ill get a closer look at her underparts this week and let you guys know what I find. Hope I dont need to remove any stubborn bolts.......

Which one did you get, the 26 gallon or the 33 gallon? Ive had both (currently have the 33 gallon due to the 26 gallon crapping out.) Im fairly satisfied with the compressor, not happy AT ALL with the air tools though, and ive got two of the impacts, two of the air ratchets, and a air chisel (yeah, I kept the tools from the 26 gallon, LOL.) Also try oiling your tools, that can make a world of difference.

It might make a difference if the torque setting and forward/reverse switch is fully engaged and not half in the middle.
I am glad craftsman never had a tool truck or I might have bought their crap along with my Snap-On and Mac.

Gonna go back to the hammer Scott?

stay away from "crapsman" air tools, i can tell you right now from personal experience that they break very easily. most of my tools are Snap-on aka "strap-on"[8D]
