well, i'm going to be rebuilding the bottom end of the 3.1 in the next two weeks. do i have to take the engine out to pull mains and connecting rod bearings?? or is there enough clearance to get in there with the oil pan and pump off??

 

Is it going to be that hard to pull the motor out? No cherry picker or engine stand?

 

none, i don't have the room at my house for it (i'm moving my Duramax out of the garage while doing this)
