hey guys hope someone can help me out here. it like losses power at a certain high speed,kinda of cut off point.is there a way to take that off,or bypass it. thax guys

 

im pretty sur the stock govener is set for 105?
mabye your speedo is off?
just going from memory.
to my knowledge this is computer controlled and the only way to change it is with a new chip.

 

You have a speed limited installed by the factory on all 3rd gen cars with non-speed rated tires. It was a libabilty issue for GM. You can remove it by buying a aftemarket Prom (chip) with it removed and also upgrade your tires to a least "V" rating.

 

there is also a wire you can cut and put a switch on. With the switch off, the speed limiter will be off but you will throw a CEL. But remember, like black said, if you get rid of the speed limiter, get better tires.
