OK. where do you get the idea that Chevy parts are cheaper than fords. When it comes to the common stuff like 350 chevys and 302 fords, they're pretty equal. The real hard core stuff is expensive in any game. As for Your JDM's, They'll only make massive power when You stick a Torbo on it, for that matter, what car won't make gobs of power with massive turbos stuck to them. As for what's the baddest DSM's around, look at NHRA Pro Stock, Chevys, Pontiacs and Mopars. Ford Can't compete at 500 CID in NHRA but dominate in IHRA when the Cubes are up over 800. So, all in all, Everybody's fast and Somebody's gonna lose. What matters is whatever floats Your boat and works for You.

 

Hey Paul, I bet your car will go WAY faster with a carbon fiber hood. (Isnt that what all you 'tuners do?)

Seriously, its interesting to finally meet a young guy who seems to know what hes talking about. I respect the fact that you can balance your 'street talk' with credible facts. As for what Im running:

2001 Harley Custom Sportster
2001 Mazda Tribute (hella fast, crappy MPG)
1982 PROJECT Camaro. worn out 305. Still easier to work on than a jap motor.
AND.......a house full of custom firearms. I build my own guns, mostly military stuff to include FAL's and 1919's (look it up, young one) so, your car may be faster, but I can still pop you from a mile out...........

And THAT is FTW..................

Why'd you edit the whp figure on your post? Seems awfully suspicious, if you ask me. Especially over 3 horses.... doesn't make that much difference at the 300 mark... What's that car running to make that power, anyway?

And as for the fords, I didn't say the were good Paul, so don't misconstrue, I simply said there weren't any Camaros around to chew 'em up and spit them out. I'd cruise around town in a 64½ or 65 'Stang, but I sure as hell wouldn't be caught dead trying to race one....
